The references presented in this bibliography provide an overview of recent scholarship on Asian Americans in community colleges. Included in this bibliography are educational reports, case studies, literature reviews, and analyses that reflect upon the experience of Asian Americans in community colleges. The references also address the barriers and support Asian Americans encounter. It is important to recognize the need to disaggregate amongst the diverse group of ethnicities and cultures that comprise the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community and to dispel the "model minority" myth. Only then can scholars achieve a broader understanding of issues such as retention and persistence for these students in the educational pipeline.
