Five Reasons to Offer Online Courses
Oblender, Thomas E.; Glass, Jane
Principal Leadership, v5 n2 p40-42 Oct 2004
Everyone has heard about online courses, and how they are good for students because they offer schedule flexibility or opportunities to take courses that a school would not normally provide. After all, students can take and complete these courses anytime, anywhere. As their popularity grows, several states have added online learning to their educational repertoire, cyber charter schools have popped up, and private entrepreneurs have begun offering virtual education for grades preK to 12. However, most students in most schools do not take online courses. Tips for getting started are presented.
