This article presents the West Tennessee ACEI 2006 Fall Conference held at Union University in Jackson, Tennessee on October 14, 2006. The conference theme, Turning the Pages: A Focus on Children's Literature, was emphasized throughout the day. During the conference, the early childhood classroom teachers, preservice teachers, and administrators had an opportunity to choose from 50 concurrent sessions for targeted groups: Infant-Toddler, Preschool, School Age, Family/ Groups, Administrators, and All Audiences. The topics included: Putting PBS KIDS Programming To Work for You; Encouraging Children To Turn the Pages; Don't Smash the Caterpillar!; Proven Ways: Prereading Activities That Work; and Disaster Preparedness. The educators left the day's event with a pocket full of teaching tools and a refreshed teaching spirit.
