Chapter 6. The Student in the Virtual Interaction Space

In examining the characteristics of students' dealing with the Internet it is of special interest to look at how they use it as a means of interaction. This article examines the developmental characteristics of person's entry into virtual communication and its temporal intensiveness; the communicative intention that conditions it; the content and the language of interaction; attitudes towards sanctions that imposed in the event of any violation of the norms of virtual interaction; the communicator's assessment of differences between virtual and real interaction; and the desire to continue the interaction with a partner of virtual communication in real life.
