Faculty Activism
Academe, v91 n5 p26-29 Sep-Oct 2005
Blending scholarship and activism, whether domestic or international, takes some real work. Two scholar-activists reflect on why and how activism can be more than academic labor in this feature of the "Academe" journal. This feature includes the following brief reflections on political work, both local and global that demonstrates how on campus and off campus, faculty members can make a difference: (1) "The Ivory Tower and Scholar-Activism" (Donald Earl Collins); and (2) "Utopian Universities and International Activism" (Patrick Brantlinger).
