When stuck in a bad session, the phrase "lifelong learning" is the last thing one wants to hear. In this article, the author describes the following techniques to get the most out of a "worthless" seminar: (1) Tune out minor irritations; (2) Consider your environment; (3) Ask for changes--politely; (4) Solve your own problems; and (5) Accept that it sometimes doesn't work.
