Issues related to the cultural shifts that were observed during the past half-century but were dodged in the symposium titled "Our Country, Our Culture", in the Fall 2002 issue of "Partisan Review" are addressed. The analysis of various issues related to cultural shifts becomes distorted when the conservative intellectuals refuse to take responsibility for their own bias or grant any legality to the leftist view.
