To Be a Principal
Principal, v84 n5 p5 May-Jun 2005
Never having been a principal, I've always been curious about what it takes to be one. Over the years, I've been privileged to meet a number of K-8 principals and have almost always come away impressed. I don?t have to tell you how complex and challenging the principal's job has become, especially since the No Child Left Behind Act took effect. Yet, most of the principals that I've met have shown a single-minded determination to overcome whatever obstacles stand in the way of their ultimate goal--providing the best possible education for all of their students.
