Personal Agency and Public Recognition in Women's Volunteering: Does the Organisation Make a Difference?
Leonard, Rosemary; Burns, Ailsa
Australian Journal on Volunteering, v8 n2 p33-41 2003
Life review interviews with 54 midlife and older women discussed their volunteer activities. Even formal activities with limited public exposure helped network people who would otherwise not have made contact. (Contains 14 references.) (SK)
