Responses from 110 of 160 Nigerian parents to a survey indicated that 80% had a college degree; 82.7% thought it important that girls study technical courses; 95.5% did not believe religion prohibited girls' studies; and 80% did not agree it was their responsibility to choose what girls studied. Most felt that counselors and teachers should have an influence. (Conains 30 references.) (SK)
