Cowger, Charles D.
Journal of Social Work Education, v39 n1 p43-48 Win 2003

Argues that the distinctive values of the research university are particularly good for social work education, the profession, and clients, and that recognizing, articulating, understanding, and building on the strengths of varied educational settings should strengthen the profession.
