Bullying and the Big Five: A Study of Childhood Personality and Participant Roles in Bullying Incidents.
Tani, Franca; Greenman, Paul S.; Schneider, Barry H.; Fregoso, Manuela
School Psychology International, v24 n2 p131-46 May 2003
Research on the social context of bullying includes children who help the victim, assist the bully or remain outsiders. Children (N=96) in Central Italy were classified according to an Italian version of the Participant Role Scale as Defenders of the Victim, Outsiders, Victims or Pro-bullies. Results suggest that personality traits might contribute to children's typical behavior in bullying situations. (Contains 49 references.) (GCP)
