A Study of Changes in Intellectual Development from Freshman to Senior Year at a Cooperative Education College.

Antioch College co-op freshmen (n=179) completed the Measure of Epistemological Reflection; 4 years later, of the 45 remaining, 20 retook the measure. Transitional knowing at entry increased to independent knowing as seniors. As freshmen, they exhibited higher levels of intellectual development than comparable groups at a highly selective institution. (Contains 29 references.) (SK)
