Jackson, Jerlando, F. L.
National Association of Student Affairs Professionals Journal, v6 n1 p9-24 Spr 2003
Decisions to include African Americans in student affairs administration, particularly in senior-level positions, appear to have far-reaching effects on the experiences of African American students at institutions of higher and postsecondary education. This article calls for a stronger research agenda explicitly focusing on the engagement, retention, and advancement of African Americans in the student affairs profession.
