Professionalising Teaching Practice in Higher Education: A Study of Disciplinary Variation and "Teaching-Scholarship."
Lueddeke, George R.
Studies in Higher Education, v28 n2 p213-28 May 2003
Examined the relationships between several factors that characterize academics working in higher education and their approaches to the scholarship of teaching. Findings suggest that discipline and teaching conceptualization have the strongest influence on teaching scholarship, while qualifications and years of teaching have a moderate impact, and gender and post do not play a significant part.
