Post-College Schooling, Overeducation, and Hourly Earnings in the United States.
Rubb, Stephen
Education Economics, v11 n1 p53-72 Apr 2003
Using 1990 US census data, examines the relationship between overeducation and earnings focusing on individuals with postcollege schooling. Finds that being overeducated increases the wages of men working at a job requiring a bachelor's degree. Compares results with findings in Canada and the United Kingdom. Suggests that overeducation contributes to the male/female wage gap. (Contains 21 references.) (Author/PKP)
