McLeod, Julie; Yates, Lyn
Race, Ethnicity and Education, v6 n1 p29-49 Mar 2003

Interview data highlight the significance of desires and aspirations as well as fears in these forms of political thought and self-identification. Asserts that although the "we" and "they" binaries are shifting, focusing on their use within youths' discourses helps in understanding the identifications and contrasts with which they work. (SM)
