Stressed Out! A National Study of Women and Men Journalism and Mass Communication Faculty, Their Uses of Technology, and Levels of Professional and Personal Stress.
Ogan, Christine; Chung, Deborah
Journalism and Mass Communication Educator, v57 n4 p352-68 Win 2003
Examines gender differences as they manifest themselves when journalism educators use computers and computer-based technologies in their teaching and research. Notes that gender differences have been found in overall stress levels and for a variety of types of stress. Concludes that the strongest relationship in the study was not between technology stress and gender, but between stress based on feelings of discrimination and gender. (PM)
