Measuring Interest in Reading Social Studies Materials.

Developed the Social Studies Interest Inventory-Interest in Reading Materials with the participation of 263 middle school students and 320 high school students. Exploratory factor analysis yielded three dimensions of interest, and suggested that students prefer creative materials to textbook or news materials. (SLD)
