Conflict resolution has emerged as a viable way to help students acknowledge their feelings and communicate with others in times of difficulty. This paper describes how teachers at the University of Pittsburgh's Falk Laboratory School have integrated conflict resolution with character education, thus providing students with the right language to find a middle ground for compromise.
