Professional Development Needs of Novice Career and Technical Education Teachers.

Interviews with 14 traditionally or alternatively certified secondary career and technical education teachers indicated that most felt adequately prepared by their teacher education programs. They wanted more preparation in classroom management and working with special populations. Most who were mentored found it valuable, depending on the quality of the relationship.
