African American and White Elites Confront Racial Issues.
Black, Amy E.
Society, v39 n4 p39-45 May-Jun 2002
Investigated the opinions and attitudes of black and white elites regarding racial issues, discussing the state of racial relations in the United States. Surveys of leaders in a position to affect national social and political outcomes indicated that all participating groups supported increasing the power of minorities and women and agreed that business leaders and the media should be less powerful. However, racial division and polarization still existed. (SM)
