Suppressor Variable(s) Importance within a Regression Model: An Example of Salary Compression from Career Services.
Walker, David A.
Journal of College Student Development, v44 n1 p127-33 Jan-Feb 2003
The current study is intended to fill a void in the literature concerning suppressor variable(s) which appear to be closely related to salary compression of student affairs administrators. Of the variables examined, only degree had a negative effect on the dependent variable; that is, as level of education increased, salary tended to decrease for career services directors.
