Using Still Photography in Making Meaning of Adult Educators' Teaching Beliefs.
Taylor, Edward W.
Studies in the Education of Adults, v34 n2 p123-39 Oct 2002
Auto-photography and photo elicitation are techniques that can help teachers articulate often subconscious beliefs about teaching. In auto-photography, participants, not researchers, take the pictures. Photo elicitation uses photographs to stimulate the interviewing process. Issues include research collaboration, mutual visual context, interpretation of visual metaphors, and reflexive learning. (Contains 37 references.) (SK)
