Chizhik, Estella Williams; Chizhik, Alexander Williams
Journal of College Student Development, v43 n6 p792-808 Nov-Dec 2002
Asks 65 mostly White and middle-class college students to share conceptions of "privilege" and "oppression," terms associated with social justice disorders. Data analyses revealed themes reflecting descriptions of characteristics of privilege and oppression, rather than causal explanations of these constructs. Discusses implications of these findings for college courses that focus on issues of social justice. (Contains 31 references.) (Author)
