High school students (n=58) undertook engineering traineeships during their last 2 years, a partnership of a high school, technical institute, and manufacturer. Longitudinal data indicated the partnership created a learning infrastructure that supported transition to work, apprenticeship, or study; propositional, procedural, and dispositional knowledge; and informed choices about career pathways.
