Knowledge and Awareness Concerning Chemical and Biological Terrorism: Continuing Education Implications.
Rose, Molly A.; Larrimore, Karen L.
Journal of Continuing Education in Nursing, v33 n6 p253-58 Nov-Dec 2002
Nurses, physicians, and nursing and medical students (n=291) were surveyed about their awareness of chemical and biological terrorism. Infection control personnel and nurse educators (n=24) were surveyed about terrorism preparation. Fewer than one-quarter of questions were answered correctly, and only about 23% reported confidence in the ability to provide health care in an attack. (Contains 21 references.) (SK)
