Discussions with 35 older adults resulted in the following findings: (1) an historical perspective on volunteering; (2) identification of issues affecting seniors as volunteers; (3) creation of solution scenarios related to the issues; (4) establishment of conditions that would increase senior volunteerism; and (5) determination of the types of recruitment incentives needed.
