Interviews with 18 secondary trade and industrial teachers who left the profession identified their reasons for leaving: eight were dissatisfied with teaching, six left for other career opportunities, and three for better salaries. Primary reasons for dissatisfaction included lack of recognition/support, discipline problems, poor student motivation, and poor salaries. (Contains 29 references.) (SK)
