Dimensions of Distance: A Comparison of Classroom Education and Distance Education.

Cognitive, role, and access distance affects both conventional and virtual classrooms. Analysis of teacher-student communication patterns in distance (e-mail and postal mail) and traditional courses showed that communication time in the distance course was 29% greater, especially in the quantity of individual communication.
