How Does Racial Identity Affect Historically Black Colleges and Universities' Student Perceptions of September 11, 2001?
Wade, Bruce H.
Journal of Black Studies, v33 n1 p25-43 Sep 2002
Investigated how racial identity formation among African American college students impacted student attitudes about the rapidly changing world. Surveys administered shortly after the September 11 attacks indicated that racial identity attitudes, gender, and student classification helped explain attitudes about the United States in the aftermath of the attacks. Male and female racial identity levels and attitudes did not differ significantly. (SM)
