Comparison of Value Orientations of Quebec and American Teachers: A Cultural Difference?

Compared priorities given to various value orientations by Quebec secondary school physical educators and their U.S. counterparts. Surveys of 266 teachers indicated that overall, Quebec teachers prioritized value orientations differently than did U.S. teachers, giving high priority to subject matter and low priority to social skills. The opposite was true for U.S. teachers. (SM)
