Reviews the importance of critical thinking; describes critical-thinking skills project in Hong Kong suburban secondary school; analyzes teacher and student evaluation of the project; concludes that despite favorable student response to critical-thinking lessons, teachers find it difficult to abandon teacher-centered teaching because of inadequate training in teaching critical thinking and classroom time constraints.
