Reconstruction in Criticality: A Discussion on Questions, Assumptions, and Interpretation.
Mejia D., Andres
Inquiry: Critical Thinking across the Disciplines, v21 n1 p17-31 Fall 2001
Elaborates on some elements of special relevance for critical analysis. Considers how an understanding of interpretation and beliefs as inherently holistic suggests that interpretation involves the recognition of alternatives, and that therefore assessment involves their comparison. Suggests that the consideration of alternatives is inevitable in a critical assessment and that therefore the issue is theoretical rather than methodological. (SG)
