Religiousness as a Predictor of Academic Performance among High-school Students.

Investigated the relationship between high school students' religiousness and academic achievement, noting the effects of ethnicity. Data from two followups of the National Educational Longitudinal Study of 1988 indicated that religiousness related to academic achievement, though the link was mediated by other psychosocial factors. The generalizability of the impact of religiousness on academic achievement was not limited across ethnic groups. (SM)
