Middle School Students' Perceptions of Coed versus Non-Coed Physical Education.

Interviewed 12 middle school boys and girls regarding their attitudes toward participating in coed versus non-coed physical education (PE) classes. Results indicated that although preferences existed, the preferences depended largely upon the situation at hand. Students preferred coed PE at times, but most often preferred non-coed PE. Preferences were based on the instructional unit being taught. (SM)
