Surveyed student teachers, cooperating teachers, and university supervisors regarding characteristics of good student teaching experiences and participant roles. Respondents believed good student teaching experiences were dynamic. Cooperating teachers and supervisors rarely utilized general knowledge of best practices. Cooperating teachers were considered teachers of children more than teacher educators. Supervisors lacked the concern for autonomy found among student and cooperating teachers. (SM)
