Psychosocial Predictors of Anxiety among Immigrant Mexican Migrant Farmworkers: Implications for Prevention and Treatment.
Hovey, Joseph D.; Magana, Cristina G.
Cultural Diversity & Ethnic Minority Psychology, v8 n3 p274-89 Aug 2002
Examines predictors of anxiety symptomatology among immigrant Mexican migrant farmworkers by assessing the prevalence of anxiety symptoms, examining the relationship between acculturative stress and anxiety, and determining the variables that best predict anxiety. Findings suggest that migrant farmworkers who experience elevated acculturative stress are susceptible to the development of anxiety-related disorders. (Contains 54 references and 3 tables.) (GCP)
