Therapeutic Recreation Journal, v36 n1 p65-83 1st Qtr 2002
Examined perceptions of people with disabilities regarding their roles related to social acceptance and leisure experience. Interviews with disabled adolescents and young adults indicated that respondents played a role in constructing social acceptance, either proactively or reactively, within inclusive leisure contexts.
