For 677 college freshmen, subscales from the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, Social Skills Inventory, and Strong Interest Inventory uniquely predicted first-year grade point average. These subscales and the Career Factors Inventory contributed to prediction of persistence. These assessments may be used to identify students at risk of poor performance or attrition.
