Gender Relations in Higher Education: Exploring Lecturers' Perceptions of Student Evaluations of Teaching.
Carson, Lloyd
Research Papers in Education: Policy & Practice, v16 n4 p337-58 Dec 2001
Investigated college faculty members' views about student evaluations of teaching. Most women faculty believed that student evaluations were biased against female teachers, though they were confident in their identities as conscientious teachers. Respondents offered first- and second-hand accounts of student sexism and prejudice. Women's representation of male students as prejudiced mirrored their negative views of male colleagues.
