Examined effects of limitations in processing resources on error detection in self-produced and other-produced speech by means of a dual task paradigm. A production experiment and a perception experiment were carried out. In both cases, the percentage of repaired errors was larger in the single task condition than in the dual task condition, indicating that resource limitations lead to a less accurate speech monitor.
