Bernard-Opitz, Vera; Sriram, N.; Nakhoda-Sapuan, Sharul
Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders, v31 n4 p377-84 Aug 2001
This study evaluated computer assisted instruction in social skills using hypothetical animated social situations. Evaluation with eight preschool children with autism (and eight matched normal children) suggested the program's potential for teaching problem-solving skills to children with and without autism. Children with autism were significantly less able than peers to generate new ideas. (Contains references.) (DB)
