Curriculum-Based Measurement in Reading: A Comparison of Similar versus Challenging Material.
Dunn, Erin K.; Eckert, Tanya L.
School Psychology Quarterly, v17 n1 p24-46 Spr 2002
Several considerations need to be made when monitoring student reading progress using Curriculum-Based Measurement: the instructional level of the student, the goal set for the student, and the material selected. This study examines whether similar material or challenging material would be the most sensitive for progress monitoring of student oral reading fluency. Results suggest that the measures were equally sensitive. (Contains 44 references, 5 tables, and 2 figures.) (GCP)
