Article describes the Center for Learning and Student Success (CLASS) at Washburn University in Kansas, a program offering a holistic approach to help students succeed academically. Staff facilitate personal growth and development of students through personal and educational counseling, and crisis intervention. This model can be adopted by other institutions to assist students with their transition to college. (Author)
