Study used a random sample of 199 students from the national sample of 4,408 students from different types of colleges and universities stratified by institutional race, type, control, and selectivity. Student responses on the College Student Survey were analyzed to show the construction of a fundamental measure as the first step toward creating a universal metric of student satisfaction. (Author)
