Expectancies for Success as a Multidimensional Construct among Employed Adults.
Ward, Edward A.
Educational and Psychological Measurement, v61 n5 p818-26 Oct 2001
Administered the Generalized Expectancy for Success-Revised (GESS-R) scale (B. Fibel and W. Hale, 1978) to 547 full-time employees in the United States. Exploratory factor analysis found four distinct factors, and scores on these four subscales were minimally related to the demographics of the subjects and had adequate internal consistency. Results indicate that GESS-R scores measure a multidimensional construct. (SLD)
