From Indignation to Indifference: Teacher Concerns about Externally Imposed Classroom Interruptions.
Leonard, Lawrence J.
Journal of Educational Research, v95 n2 p103-109 Nov-Dec 2001
Supplemented an earlier study of the nature and frequency of externally imposed classroom interruptions and their perceived impact by classroom teachers. Surveys of Canadian elementary and secondary school classroom teachers indicated that most teachers experienced interferences from outside the classroom. Most respondents considered the public address system the worst problem, and more than half considered the interruptions a serious problem. (SM)
