At UCLA, the American Indian Studies Center's structure as an organized research unit allows a platform for many activities not normally within the purview of departments. The Center implements a holistic, Native view of research, policy, community engagement, and education; has a library and publications; and is a gathering place for American Indian students and others interested in Native studies.
