IDEA Transition Policy Compliance and Best Practice: Perceptions of Transition Stakeholders.
McMahan, Rachel; Baer, Robert
Career Development for Exceptional Individuals, v24 n2 p169-84 Fall 2001
Analysis of surveys completed by 186 transition teams found that schools are generally complying with transition requirements of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act with the exception of the requirement to reconvene the Individualized Education Program team if planned transition services are not provided. The strongest predictor of compliance was the existence of a school-based interagency transition team. (Contains references.) (Author/DB)
